Joint Letter from the EU Polar Cluster regarding FP10

Members and partners of the EU Polar Cluster wrote and sent the following letter to key representatives from the European Parliament and the European Commission on the essential role of polar science in advancing European preparedness, sustainability, and security goals. They urged the European Union and European Commission to ensure a strong polar science component in the 10th EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP10) and the 2028–2034 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).

Beyond the project: Building lasting impact in Polar Research

Members and partners of the EU Polar Cluster organised and participated in a hybrid workshop at the Arctic Science Summit Week (ASSW) in 2026. The event was held in Aarhus Denmark, and resulted in the attached outcome document that summarises the lessons learnt and key targeted recommendations discussed during the workshop for improving the impact of polar science projects, and ensuring their legacy.
